Notepad of Money

I wanted to find a creative way of gifting money for a Christmas gift to our son.  I searched on Pinterest and found this idea.
Products used
  • Brand new $1 bills (50)
  • Notepad Compound (Amazon link)
  • Bind-it-All book measures 7" x 3"
  • Stampin' Up! Products
    • Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper
    • Sahara Sand cardstock
    • Whisper White cardstock
    • Great Greetings and Holiday Keepsake Ornament stamp sets
    • Ruby Red ink
    • Corner Rounder, Ornament and Scallop Tag Topper hand punches
    • Basic Pearls
    • Silver Bakers Twine
    • Glue Dots
  • Miniature Tree Trimming wire

Helpful Hints
  1. I tried to get new five, ten and twenty dollar bills but my bank only carried ones.
  2. I found the best twenties I had and stuck them between the one dollar bills.  The glue didn't "grab" them so I removed the twenties. (sorry David)
  3. The less often you touch the bills, the better.
  4. Add a backing cardboard to the bottom of the stack of bills (6 1/8" x 2 5/8").  This is what you attach to the book.
  5. Use binder clips, place them close to the edge you are gluing.  I placed cardboard shims to protect the money from being damaged by the clips.
  6. Apply thin layers of glue, allowing to dry completely each layer.  I made approximately twelve layers of glue.

Shopping List and Coupon Holder

I created a customizable shopping list and coupon holder using my Bind-it-All. The book holds the notepads you can purchase; they have a magnet on the back. This was designed so I could refill with a new notepad. The ribbon wraps around the book and holds the notepad in place.

The book holds envelopes that are used for coupons. The envelopes can be customized to hold coupons and can be labeled in the same order as your store layout. The number of envelopes is up to you and can be replaced easily when damaged or worn.

I have created a tutorial with pictures and it is available for a small fee of $3.49.  The tutorial shows how to wrap the ribbon around the book to hold in the notepad.  Just click on the Buy Now Button at the bottom of this posting.  Once you payment is cleared, an Adobe PDF file will be emailed to you.

Bind it All - Reusable - Magnetic Notepad

I purchased magnetic notepads last year at a great price and wanted to create a more decorative cover.  After some consideration I thought that the cover would be more useful if it was "refillable".  I started lacing ribbon in, out and around the two covers that I bound together with my Bind-it-All and found a way to tie a decorative knot on the front and have the ribbon hold the notepad in place to the back cover.
