Vintage Label Bookmarker

Stampin' Up! Products
  • Scallop circle punch
  • Trio flower punch
  • 3/4" circle punch
  • Two Tags Sizzix die
Other Product
  • Brad
Place flower, 3/4" circle and scallop circle punch (w/ stamped image) together on the brad and open up prongs.

Adhere solid scallop circle punch onto bookmarker, then adhere top layer. Hiding the brad prongs between layers insures that the bookmarker does not damage the book.

Paper Flower Tutorial

I don't know the original creator but I LOVE the paper flowers that you can create using the Stampin' Up! Scallop circle punch.

You will need 8 scallop circles for the flower; if you plan on mounting the flower to a bookmarker (as illustrated in the tutorial, punch out a total of 9 scallop circles.

Stampin' Up! Products
  • 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (for a better looking flower, avoid using one sided pattern paper).  I used Regal Rose in the tutorial
  • Regal Rose cardstock
  • Rose Red ink
  • Refuge & Strength stamp set
  • Scallop circle punch
  • Sizzix Two Tags (Stampin’ Up! exclusive die)
  • Bone folder
  • Crop-A-Dile
Other Products
  • Large brad

I now understand

Melody Gardot

When she was 19, Philadelphia singer/songwriter Melody Gardot was involved in an accident that damaged both her body and her brain. A car struck her as she was riding her bicycle, although she can’t remember why or where she was pedaling to. The accident left her with a fractured pelvis and damaged her spine.

Gardot, now 24, spent the next year in bed, learning to do everday tasks, like talking, again. She still has short term memory issues, and is hyper-sensitive to light and sound. Although she refuses to give up her high heels, she now walks with a cane, cannot sit or stand for long periods of time and wears glasses with dark lenses to shield her eyes.

During her recovery, doctors recommended that she listen to music to help repair her mental acuity. That’s when the magic happened................

The video

Bill was hit by a car years ago - he, too is sensitive to light. I have witnessed his increased sensitivity - I now understand.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE NEW CLEAR-MOUNT STAMPS

I created this PIF (Pay it Forward) card for someone.

What is a PIF card? I send the card to someone, along with a blank envelope. The card is not signed so the recipient can send the card to someone else.

Altered Starbuck Frappachino

Well...I tried out my new camera and photo box that should make my digital pictures of my cards and crafts look better; if only I could figure out how to use Photoshop.

First mistake....blue screen shows through the spaces in the altered bottles.

I thought I would share with you my altered Starbuck frappachino bottles. One lucky winner from the Adams/Johnston UMW Circle will receive one of these bottles as a thank you for attending Monday's UMW General Meeting (01/11/10).
