Your friendship........

I was originally inspired on Pinterest to make THIS card.  However, because of the placement of the rectangle cut out, the only bird showing on the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper was light brown.  I did not want to color the stamped bird image that color.

Happy Birthday Flora & Flutter

My inspiration came from Pinterest

Why on earth does my brain take the longest path to create a card.  I created a card last night and it took over one hour and plenty of trashed cardstock.  This morning I knew there had to be an easier way. Ummmm…..Rectangle Stitched Dies!!

Happy Mother's Day

    • Card layer measures 3 1/2" x 4 7/8"
      • Use rectangle die #4
        • It doesn't matter if this piece sticks out from the Highland Heather layer, it will be hid behind gingham paper
    • Card layer (inside) measures 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Gingham Gala
    • Card layer measures 4" x 5 1/4"
      • Nest together rectangle dies #1 and #3

    • Scrap for stamped rose
  • Forever Lovely and Petal Palette stamp sets
  • May Good Things Grow stamp set
    • Paper Pumpkin - March 2018

    • Mint Macaron
  • Petals & More Thinlits
  • Stitched Rectangle Framelits
  • Mini Dimensionals*
  • Pearl Basic Jewels (dyed to match)
* I placed Dimensionals under the four corners of the gingham paper.  The reason I did this was to have more control over the placing of the frame onto the card base.  I then added Dimensionals along the frame by using a piecing tool.

Storage Tip for Stitched Rectangle Framelits

I am loving Stampin' Up!'s newest die set - Stitched Rectangle Framelits.  I decided to share how I store these dies.

  • Rectangle Stitched Framelits #148551
    • I numbered them with a fine tip Sharpie
      • Number 1 is the largest
  • Full Wide Stamp Case #127551
    • I use this larger size case to also hold my Large Letter Framelits
  • Magnetic Sheet
    • Home Depot vent covers
    • Cut to 7" x 5"
    • One small strip for the back
  • Cardboard backing 7" x 5"
  • Cardstock in various sizes
  • Small binder clips
  • Printed details on paper and cut size *

* I only measured the finished dies to the closest eighths.  Sixteenth inches are harder to count.

Please consider me when you select your Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I provide measurements on all my projects for free.  If you enter the hostess code at the top right-hand side of my blog, my name comes up in your Shopping Cart.  The PDF file is free HERE.  If you download this, please consider placing a Stampin' Up! order with me using my Hostess Code.
