Easter Basket on a Budget

Simple, simple Easter basket on a budget

LESS THAN $1.00!

One small white lunch bag - 2 lb. size = $ .14
One sheet of cardstock = $. 23
Patterned paper = $.25
Scraps of cardstock and yarn
Colored brad = $ .05

I used the following Stampin' Up! products

  • Punches - Word Window, 5 Pedal Flower, Ticket Corner
  • Stampin' Pastels - for the watercolor look on the stamped image
  • Stampin' Write Marker

Other products

  • Die Cuts with a View patterned paper - Spring pack
  • House Mouse Stampabilities stamp
  • Spare parts brad
  • Happy Easter (brand unknown)

Basic Instructions

  • Base cardstock is cut 9" x 4 1/4"
  • Patterned paper is cut 7 3/4" x 4"
  • Using Window Word punch, punch out handle about 1/2" from the top on one piece of base cardstock. Place other piece of cardstock on top, matching up edges and punch.
  • Apply patterned paper to one piece of base cardstock - the back side of the bag is not decorated with patterned paper.
  • Fold bottom flaps of lunch bag to meet each other, the edges will not match up. Trim bag so top of bag doesn't come above handle punch. Apply tape adhesive to the side of the bag that is longer at the bottom and adhere to cardstock base. Turn over and apply adhesive to other side of of bag and adhere to other piece of cardstock.
  • Stamp and decorate
