When I challenge myself to make fun fold cards, I also
use scrap cardstock and pattern paper. I
design the layout and cut my cardstock.
If I like a style, I write down the card measurements and keep them
together for future use. Look at the
messy way I keep this tip.

Using Card Maps Tip #2
It can be challenging to come up with new card styles.
The best way I find is to take Card Maps, also known as Card Layouts and
without hesitation…..and simple cut your BEAUTIFUL Designer Series Paper. GASP!
When I first began using card maps I had to make
different sized layers with paper. I
began keeping those layers and this has made card making so much easier. Here is a picture of my MESSY card
layers.

Using Card Maps Tip #1
I made proportional card layers that fit on A2 card
bases. I started with the typical card layer that is 1/8” smaller than the 4 1/4”
x 5 1/2” card base.
I made the following proportional card layers in a sturdy
cardstock
- 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”
- 4” x 5 1/4”
- 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”
- 3 3/4” x 5”
- 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”
- 3 1/2” x 4 3/4”
- 3 3/8” x 4 5/8”
- 3 1/4” x 4 1/2”
- 3 1/8” x 4 3/8”
