How do I make a perfect mat for Stampin' Up!'s Tailored Tag punch?
Create a perfectly layered sentiment mat effortlessly using the Memory Keepers Layers Guide Tool available

Glue your sentiment onto cardstock. Use a thicker cardstock for best results
For the best results, align the Layers Guide with your cutting mat and temporarily glue down the stamped sentiment and mat for stability. Balance the tool guide equally across the cutting mat. Using a sturdy surface and a box cutter ensures clean cuts every time.

This is the tool kit I used in the picture above. I'm using an older version, but did purchase this one below when I misplaced mine. We R Memory Keepers Tool Kit is available HERE. It includes a cutting mat, magnetic steel ruler, scissors, craft knife, reverse tweezers, brad setter and piercing tool. - The scissors cuts paper easily.
- The reverse tweezers are a game changer for placing an embellishment on a card or scrapbook page.
- The magnetic ruler has a sharp edge to not only hold your paper in place but the metal edge keeps your cuts straight.
- I use the piercing tool for two different work stations.
I use this kit nearly every time I create cards. The magnetic ruler has a great metal edge to use with these box cutter.

I love the paper, but I can't afford their expensive dies. I use the dies just to cut out the two sheets of DSP. I've tried to stamp out the perfect pear but did not get good results. Now I have a set of stamps and dies that are useless now that I can't purchase their retired DSP. It is so frustrating.
No company matches Stampin' Up!'s products. I purchase all my cardstock, designer paper, ink, and stamps from SU. However, I no longer buy their dies—reason #1: I believe they are overpriced (JMO), and reason #2: I own a Brother ScanNCut (BSNC), which replaces the need for dies. I taught myself how to use Canvas Workspace, a free software program for the BSNC. It can die cut the pears pictured below with a nice margin around them; it’s incredibly easy. Most of SU’s Designer Series Papers include patterns that coordinate beautifully with their dies, making everything versatile and convenient.
I created a tutorial to take your BSNC, along with their free Canvas Workspace software to create your own Faux Dies. I have both the CM250 and
