Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper Tutorial - Card #2 - Canvas Workspace Cut File Included

I created the file to cut out the card base on this card layout. Normally, the swing arm is separate and has to be scored and glued to the card base. Not anymore!

For those familiar with Canvas Workspace and cutting with a Brother ScanNCut, cutting an A2 card base from a standard 8 1/2" x 11" sheet isn’t straightforward. The software adds a slight margin, making perfect alignment difficult. Since you can't cut a full 11" length directly, my workaround is to design cards with a shorter width. This particular card measures 10 1/2" x 5 1/2", with the folded size at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". After cutting, simply score a 3 1/8" and the tab ... Cardmaking made easy!

Because of the margin the software adds, I recommend using a paper trimmer to cut the layers to avoid wasting paper. For example, the Designer Series Paper (DSP) kit here measures 3 7/8" x 4 1/4", uses more than 3 7/8 and 4 1/4", trimming is preferable. I’ve included a cutting file with measurements for those who prefer to cut layers with your trimmer, making the process more precise and efficient.

There are so many crafting possibilities when you learn how to use your BSNC machine. I own the Nested Friends stamp set and created BSNC files to cut out blank birds and it is easy to stamp directly on the cutouts, no more fussy cutting. Do you have trouble getting the best stamped image because of juicy ink pads, especially when stamping ten or twenty birds? You don't need to stamp each one - I have a master sheet of the stamped bird image; I simply put any colored cardstock into my printer and print as many birds as I need. I use the BSNC to cut out the birds. I use the master sheet and print them out using ink that matches Stampin' Up! colors. You can find the RGB color codes online for every Stampin' Up! color. Click HERE to see what RGB codes that can easily be found on the internet. Most people aren't aware that this information is available, all you have to do is think out of the box and take stamping to a new level.

Hate punching? Do your wrists bother you? I created a BSNC file of the branch by using my Bird Builder punch. Sit back, put your feet up and let your Brother ScanNCut do all the work. I do not sell Stampin' Up! stamped images. I purchased the stamps, dies and punches for my personal use. This is an example of what you can do with a Brother ScanNCut machine. Arm Closure

• Attach the shorter end (1 1/4" x 1") to the inside of the card before other card layers are attached.
• Attach the longer end to either the back of the RR scalloped rectangle OR
• Between the BW and RR layers, separated by Dimensionals.
