MAKE YOUR OWN!
Crafts By Beth Faux Die Tutorial

I have created a tutorial on how to create stamping layers and the "shadow" layer for your sentiment stamps. This was my first section in my tutorial.

I had an “ah ha” when I was putting away a new photopolymer stamp set. Wait until you see how easy it is to create a Crafts By Beth Faux Die with my easy hack.

The third part of the tutorial helps you create your own Faux Dies with your printer.

These three tutorials are in my Crafts By Beth Faux Die Tutorial and will save you an incredible amount of money. For less than the price of one die set this is a game changer!

If you know the basics to using your Brother ScanNCut and the Brother CanvasWorkspace you will be able to master my tutorial in no time. If you decide to purchase my tutorial, you must need to understand how to scan and cut out an image using your machine. There are YouTube videos showing the basic steps for the beginner. To use this tutorial, again, you must know the basic steps in using your Brother ScanNCut and the Brother CanvasWorkspace software. I have never seen a video that creates sentiment and mat layers as easy as mine.

Check out my affiliate link for the Brother ScanN Cut.  No need to purchase dies, just scan and cut.

This is a PDF with instructions and picture illustrations. No need to stop and replay a video over and over again.

Custom Make Your Own Stamp Dies - Crafts by Beth Faux Die Tutorial

Wouldn't you love having a die for every stamp set image?  Who wouldn't!

©Stampin’ Up!

I created a Faux Die for the butterfly from the Paper Pumpkin Delicate Wings stamp set and it was so easy. The "die cut" for the butterfly was cut using my Brother ScanNCut and their free software CanvasWorkspace. It is so easy with my tutorial. You can create files to use for all your stamps, each stamp image can be made into a faux die in less than five minutes.

There are so many YouTube videos that show how to stamp an image and draw an outline of it, closing in the "opened" lines and cut with your machine.  Sometimes you didn't get a perfect scanned image and you have to try again. Stamp ten butterflies and you have to outline and/or close the opened lines for EACH AND EVERY butterfly. With my tutorial, you can create a file, cut ten butterflies, stamp the "die cuts" and you are done!

With my Brother ScanNCut tutorial, why have a die where you stand over your die cutting machine, line up the image with the die and crank EACH AND EVERY butterfly. That takes a LONG TIME! And you have the battle of the die slipping over the stamped image as you are cranking it through and you have to stamp and die cut another butterfly. There goes one stamped image into the trash and your wasted time. Think of the money you'll save not purchasing dies! Most stamp sets only have three to four dies created for it, with my method you'll have a "die" for each stamp image. Keep in mind a die set may have a die that is unique, if that is the case, you may want to purchase the die set.

Oh my gosh....you can make faux dies for every Paper Pumpkin stamp set and every stamp set you own! You'll be the envy of
every stamper!

Introducing Crafts by Beth Faux Die Tutorial - Brother ScanNCut

I've had my Brother ScanNCut for six years, making a sentiment layer was tedious. I learned the basics from YouTube videos. While creating this card, I had a lightbulb moment...I discovered a way to make sentiment layer and a sentiment mat for all my photopolymer stamps. And improved that one step by showing how to create files for my cling mount stamps. It took me over three days to create files for all my stamps, it was totally worth it. Previously it would take me up to thirty minutes or more to create one file for stamping just one sentiment. Now I can do it in under five minutes.

I have created a tutorial on how to create stamping layers and the "shadow" layer for the sentiment. If you know the basics to using your Brother ScanNCut and the Brother CanvasWorkspace you will be able to master my tutorial in minutes. If you decide to purchase my tutorial, you must need to understand how to scan and cut out an image using your machine. There are YouTube videos showing the basic steps for the beginner.
