Using your 12" x 12" cardstock you are able to cut out three cards (directions below). With an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock you will only get you two cards. My cards measure 7" x 4 7/8" (unfolded)

Cutting Instructions for 12" x 12" cardstock
- Cut one piece of your 12" x 12" cardstock to 7" x 12"
- Turn this piece and cut two pieces measuring 7" x 4 7/8"
- Set aside the remaining piece
- Take the other piece of cardstock (which measures 5" x 12"), turn and cut cardstock to 5" x 7"
- Take this piece and cut it to 4 7/8" x 7"
- Score all pieces on the 7" length at 3"
