*Depending on where you start laying down your strips, you may be shy of a sliver.  First cut off the paper that hangover the backside, if the strips are too small, you will need to use a fifth strip.  (Shhh...don't tell anyone, but I have a bare spot behind the pansy.)

Spice Cake III (correction)

I had misidentified a letter in the detailed layout of yesterday's card.  This is the correct detail.  My post HERE has been updated to reflect the correct layout.

Using A1 Envelopes

I have purchased and received A1 envelopes that I seldom use.  The envelopes measure 5 1/8" X 3 5/8" and are typically used for response or notecard envelopes.

Using your 12" x 12" cardstock you are able to cut out three cards (directions below).   With an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock you will  only get you two cards.  My cards measure 7" x 4 7/8" (unfolded)

Stampin' Up! Products (unless noted otherwise)
  • Certainly Celery cardstock
    • Card base measures 4 7/8" x 3 1/2" (folded)
    • Strip measures 4 7/8" x 1 1/2"
    • Scraps for flowers
  • Baja Breeze cardstock
    • Strip measures 4 7/8" x 3/4"
  • Green Tea Designer Series Paper (retired)
    • Card layer (top) measures 4 5/8" x 1 1/2"
    • Card layer (bottom) measures 4 5/8" x 1 3/4"
  • Old Olive ink
  • Flower Shop and Itty Bitty Banners stamp sets
  • Blossom and Pansy hand punches
  • Itty Bitty Banners Framelits
  • Dimensionals

Cutting Instructions for 12" x 12" cardstock
  1. Cut one piece of your 12" x 12" cardstock to 7" x 12"
  2. Turn this piece and cut two pieces measuring 7" x 4 7/8"
  3. Set aside the remaining piece
  4. Take the other piece of cardstock (which measures 5" x 12"), turn and cut cardstock to 5" x 7"
  5. Take this piece and cut it to 4 7/8" x 7"
  6. Score all pieces on the 7" length at 3"
Clear as Mud, perhaps this FILE will help you.
